Stewart Boosters Annual Spring Carnival to be held April 26

Apr 22, 2014

This year’s Stewart Boosters Annual Spring Carnival on April 26 will feature a jungle safari theme. There is a full slate of fun activities for the whole family including bounce houses, carnival-style games, photo booth, raffles, face painting, silent auction, book fair, and concessions. This year’s silent auction has fantastic themed-classroom baskets, including Family Night, Movie Night, Book Lovers, Kids’ Creativity, Outdoor Fun, Barbie, Star Wars, Superheros, Dress Up, and many more. There will also be other great items such as zoo passes, a St. Louis vacation package with Cardinals tickets, Cedar Rapids Kernels and Iowa Cubs tickets, and Disney World park hopper passes.

To get in the carnival spirit, students at Stewart Elementary will participate in a coloring contest and spirit week dress-up days. Stop by Stewart sometime that week and you may just find some of your favorite book or movie characters attending class on Favorite Character Day. Also be on the lookout for some crazy styles on Fashion Disaster Day! Other dress-up days include Spirit Day, and of course Jungle Safari Day.

All proceeds from the carnival will be used to further the mission of Stewart Boosters and provide funding for projects such as playground equipment and improvements, classroom materials and supplies, and technology updates at Stewart Elementary School.
