Jul 25, 2013
Photo by: Washington County Extension On Wednesday, Brighton Summer Rec explored, experimented and played with all kinds of bubbles. They made bubble blowers and giant body-sized bubbles. They also made artwork by painting bubble wrap.

Fifteen children enjoyed the Brighton Summer Rec program held Monday through Wednesday this week at the Brighton Community Center. Campers from kindergarten to third grade enjoyed day-long activities including Dig Those Dinosaurs, Mystery of the Missing Bear and Bubble Mania.

Brighton Summer Rec is sponsored by the City of Brighton and Brighton Chamber, and is free to Brighton area youth. Washington County Extension will host another three days of Brighton Summer Rec next week, July 29-July 31.

A similar program will be offered for Brighton youth starting in October on Washington School District early out Wednesdays. For more information please contact the Washington County Extension office at 319-653-4811.
