Two champs at Mepo tourney

MEDIAPOLIS — At the Mediapolis Tournament , the Washington Wrestling team went 25-14 as individuals.
Of the 12 Washington wrestlers, only two finished with losing records.
The only undefeated and title winners for Washington were senior Fletcher Green at 120 pounds and junior Brad Skubal at 195 pounds, who went a combined 4-0.
Green defeated the No. 2 ranked wrestler in Class 2A, Mason Buster of Mediapolis, 6-4. Skubal defeated Mark Ramirez of Columbus 9-3 for the title.
The wrestlers who finished with winning records were senior Austin Latcham, junior Alex Gonzalez, sophomore Jarek Brown, senior Tristan Pohren and sophomore Michael Ellingson
Freshman Andrew Waite, freshman Kyle Anderson and freshman Trey Van Weelden all went .500.
Washington travels to Keokuk at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, for its next match.
