AINSWORTH — A vehicle chase that began when Washington County Conservation park rangers attempted to stop a vehicle in Marr Park ended in Riverside Friday afternoon after the suspect attempted to ride his motorcycle down a muddy road.

“He was apprehended with no issues after his bike fell over in the mud,” Washington County chief deputy Shawn Ellingson commented. “Basically he went down the wrong road. We had 4-wheel drives and he didn’t.”

Leroy Dean McFadden, 55, address not listed, is charged with felony eluding, OWI second offense, careless driving, reckless driving, second-degree theft, operating without the owner’s consent, interference with official acts, driving under suspension times three, unlawful use of a license, failure to maintain control, four stop sign violations and speeding 110 in a 55 mph zone.

According to the Washington County call log, at 3:52 p.m. Friday deputies reported being out with a subject who refused to stop in Marr Park and a pursuit ensued. The chase ended when the motorcycle was in an accident in the 2900 block of 135th Street in Riverside. The motorcycle was towed and placed on hold for Henry County due to the vehicle being stolen.
