Victim holds burglary suspect

CRAWFORDSVILLE — a Burlington man was arrested Sunday evening in Crawfordsville after he allegedly tried to burglarize a residence and was restrained by the owner.

Casey Thomas Leedham, 36, of Burlington, was charged with second-degree burglary, fifth-degree theft, trespass and operating without owner’s consent. He was also arrested on a Des Moines County warrant for violation of parole on original charges of second-degree theft, and third-degree burglary. Bond has been set at $25,000 cash only.

A caller reported at 6:44 p.m. Sunday that a subject had broken into his brother’s residence in the 400 block of East Columbus Street in Crawfordsville and that he brother was holding down the suspect.
