WACO releases audit

WAYLAND — Nolte, Cornman, &Johnson P.C. today released an audit report on the WACO Community School District.
The district’s revenues totaled $7,601,928 for the year that ended on June 30, 2013, a 2.81 percent decrease from the previous year. Revenues included property tax of $2,931,655; statewide sales, services and use tax of $434,066; charges for service of $707,902; operating grants, contributions, and restricted interest of $638,426; unrestricted state grants of $2,834,384; unrestricted interest of $3,320; and other general revenues of $52,175.
Expenses for the district totaled $6,285,386, an 11.32 percent decrease over the previous year. Expenses included $2,366,396 for regular instruction; $805,881 for other instruction; and $761,522 for special instruction.
