Washington audit report released

Nolte, Cornman & Johnson P.C. today released an audit report on the Washington Community School District in Washington.
The district’s revenues totaled $23,446,149 for the year ended June 30, 2012, a 7.90 percent increase from the prior year. Revenues included unrestricted state grants of $9,686,288; local tax of $6,767,769; statewide sales, services and use tax of $1,310,349; operating grants, contributions, and restricted interest  of $2,324,064; capital grants, contributions, and restricted interest of $1,434,888; charges for service of $1,425,974; nonspecific program federal grants of $357,243; unrestricted interest of $41,878; and $97,696 in other general revenues.  
Expenses for district operations totaled $20,673,525, a 10.45 percent increase from the prior year. Expenses included $7,448,864 for regular instruction, $2,829,067 for other instruction and $2,694,303 for special instruction.
