Washington FFA places fifth in veterinary science

Team members completed an online test and submitted a video on safe intramuscular injections. Team members are Sarah Greiner, McKenna Brinning, Emma Stout and Libby Schnicker (who was unavailable for the photo).

The Washington FFA Chapter was named the fifth-place team in the annual Iowa FFA Veterinary Science Career Development Event held on May 31, 2013. Members of the team included McKenna Brinning, daughter of Shane and Kathleen Brinning; Sarah Greiner, daughter of Brant and Amy Greiner; Libby Schnicker, daughter of Perry Schnicker; and Emma Stout, daughter of Julie and Tim Stout. Their agriculture education instructor and FFA advisor is Duane Van Winkle.

FFA teams from Iowa participated in this year's Career Development Event designed to provide the student an opportunity to display their agricultural knowledge and skills in the area of veterinary science. The competitors completed a general knowledge examination focusing on veterinary science . The team members also prepared a video focusing on proper veterinary clinical practices.
