The Wayland Lions Club annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 30, at West Park. Members of the Lions Club will be on hand to direct the different age groups to their hunting spots. It is hoped the big Easter Bunny will also make an appearance.

Local Lions clubs sponsoring a Leo Club can bring new energy to the Lions clubs and can increase your club’s community exposure by attracting new audiences, such as young professionals and parents.

April is Leo Club Awareness Month. The Lions clubs of Wayland, Olds and Crawfordsville sponsor the local WACO Leo Club. Sponsoring a Leo Club provides members with camaraderie and growth through participation in community service projects, social functions and leadership development activities. Through Leo clubs, Lions have a positive influence on today’s youth and young adults — helping them become better citizens and leaders for life.

In addition: For Lions, the motto “We Serve” extends beyond their own communities. It also means bringing the service of Lions to surrounding communities in need. Extension involves building new Lions clubs with new service projects geared toward meeting the needs of these surrounding communities. Lions can help with extension efforts by working to increase membership in their local club or by sponsoring a new club.
