STOCKPORT — Willard Russell Macy, 90, of Stockport, died Monday, April 24, 2017 in Sunnybrook Living Care Center in Fairfield.

A Masonic service will begin at 5 p.m. Sunday, April 30, in Behner Funeral Home with visitation for family and friends to follow at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 1 in First Lutheran Church in Fairfield with the Rev. Greg Friedrich officiating. Burial will be in Wright Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established. Cards and memorials may be mailed to: Connie Moore, 13047 Hickory Ave., Birmingham, IA 52535.

Mr. Macy was born Dec. 24, 1926 to Delbert C. and Beulah (Van Dyke) Macy. He married Donna Jean Rizor on March 14, 1948 in Fairfield. They celebrated 50 years of marriage before Donna died on March 21, 1998.

He graduated from Fairfield High School with the Class of 1945. He was a lifelong farmer starting with horses. He also worked 25 years at American Chain and Cable. Some of his other jobs throughout his life in addition to farming were carpentry, cream route driver, rural mail carrier, and snow removal for the DOT. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church and was active on the church council and committees. He was a member of Masons, Lions Club and Odd Fellows.

Surviving are four children, Connie Moore and husband Ken of Birmingham, Kathianne Keller of Brighton, Kristin Macy of Newton, and Charles Macy of Des Moines; three grandchildren; three great-grandsons; one sister, Lucille Stevenson of Williamsburg; and one brother, Harold “Hal” Macy and wife Barbara of Palmdale, California.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a brother and sister-in-law, Leonard “Len” and Sandy Macy; brother-in-law, John Stevenson; and special friend, Judy Anderson.
